PlanToys is a social and environmentally oriented company from Thailand.

The idea came in 1981: since rubber trees no longer produce latex when they grow old, seven young students around the architect Vitool Viraponsavan found a sustainable solution. The trees' second life begins: they become sustainable, fairly produced wooden toys that delight young and old alike.

To keep the wood free of pollutants, the soil is not fertilised for three years before the trees are cut. All ways of toy production are well thought out at PlanToys. For example, roots and other residual products from wood production are used to generate energy in the company's own power plant.
